Holy crap, I think I’m experiencing real sound for the first time!

Price point these have got to be one of the best buys out there. Although just 2.1, they can easily fill a moderately sized room with excellent sound quality. At $115 they may sound  a bit steep for the casual person but I justified it by getting free shipping on them (effectively shaving $15 off their price).

I haven’t tried hooking them up to my TV yet but I bet for movie nights they’ll make hella good speakers (assuming proper placement).  And I can absolutely scare the hell out of anyone on the street or the neighbors downstairs.

If you’re on the fence, buy them! They’ll be well worth it, and even if they only last half as long as my last Altec Lansings (14 years), the cost will be spread across a very long period of time. 115 / (7 years x 365 days) = 4.5 cents a day, for 200 watts of sound. Given our media rich culture and my inability to do anything without music, I’d say money well spent.
